Lean Quest is launching a series of blogs to drive discussion and understanding. We genuinely hope that you will find these blogs and the subsequent dialogue to be informative and entertaining.
The first series, “What can we learn from the COVID-19 Crisis?” will examine the lessons that are coming from the unparalleled times we are experiencing. In true Lean fashion, the intent of this examination is NOT to place blame, but rather to identify problems/opportunities for improvement. By doing this, we can accumulate the knowledge that comes from this activity, so we can help you to improve the effectiveness of the organizations we manage.
The second series, “Unpacking the Open Source Management System (Reference Model 3.1)”, will examine elements of an open source Management System that is emerging for the Department of Defense, Defense Logistics Agency. As many of you know, Lean Quest has been a significant contributor to this effort over the last 15+ years as we have provided much of the practical experience and knowledge of the Toyota Production System. This series will provide insight into the Management System and provide a detailed examination of some of the Rules, Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures that enable this management reference model.
We hope that you will find these blogs interesting and that you will leave comments and enter discussion to build this community of managers and Lean practitioners.
